Doha Bank Stars League: Al Sailiya, Al Wakrah Coaches Target Win in Tomorrow’s Match

Doha: Al Sailiya coach Mirghani Al Zain confirmed the team's aspirations to secure a victory against Al Wakrah in tomorrow's match at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, as part of Doha Bank Stars League Week 11.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a pre-match press conference today, Al Zain emphasized the significance of the match following the team's recent losses against Al Ahli and Al Sadd, which ended 1-2 and 1-3, respectively. These defeats have placed Al Sailiya under pressure to return to winning ways. The coach mentioned that the team is fully prepared for the upcoming match, which follows a break due to the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. During this period, the coaching staff has focused on correcting mistakes and reinforcing the team's strengths.

Al Zain acknowledged the absence of some players due to injuries, including Youssef Sanana, Matias Nani, and Abdulaziz Metwally. However, he expressed confidence in the remaining players' ability to deliver the required performance.

On the other hand, Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno emphasized their good preparations for the match against Al Sailiya. Moreno stated, "We worked for two weeks during the break, and I am sure we have prepared well for the match. We know we are facing a strong team, especially one with attacking players." Moreno also noted the challenge posed by the absence of several players, either due to injuries or national team commitments, but stressed the importance of focusing on the game.
