Doha: Umm Salal scored a 2-0 win over Al Shahania to log their first points of the season in Week 2 of the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Bayt Stadium on Saturday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Shahania were down to 10 players after Mohammed Bader Sayyar was sent off following a second yellow card in the 61st minute. Umm Salal captain Oussama Tannane scored the first goal in the 43rd minute, slamming the top of the net from the left inside the box, following a fine assist from Adil Tahif.

The Orange Fortress soon doubled the lead in the 47th minute when Jean Evrard Kouassi received a pass from Antonio Mance and managed to beat the rival goalkeeper. Later in the match, Mance himself came close to scoring at least twice, but one shot went just wide of the goal, and his header was blocked by Al Shahania goalkeeper Shehab Ellethy.
