Doha Falcons Compete in Longines Global Champions Tour in Madrid

Madrid: The Spanish capital, Madrid, will host the fourth round of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League (GCL) over three consecutive days from May 16 to 18, featuring the participation of Team Doha Falcons.

According to Qatar News Agency, Doha Falcons are preparing for a strong competition in this round, following their fourth-place finish last season. The team boasts a powerful lineup combining experience, rising talent, and local riders aiming to make an impact on the international stage.

The team consists of Qatari rider Rashid Al Marri, one of Qatar's leading equestrian figures, committed to showcasing the progress of show jumping in Qatar globally, veteran rider Basem Mohammed, a symbol of Qatari equestrianism, returning to provide support and expertise. These riders are expected to be key contributors to the team's success this season.

Three internationally recognized show jumpers are French rider Julien Anquetin, Belgian rider Wilm Vermeir, and Belgian rider Jerome Guery. These riders bring extensive experience and high-performance skills under pressure, strengthening the team's hopes of achieving remarkable results in the new season. Promising young rider Giacomo Casadei, known for his bold style and continuous pursuit of excellence, is a strong addition to the Doha Falcons lineup.

Currently, the team holds 10th place in the GCL team rankings for the 2025 season and aspires to improve its standing in the upcoming rounds, benefiting from its balanced squad and strong fan support.
