Doha Gains Int’l Recognition as Hub for Elite Gymnastics Training Camps

Doha: The Qatar Gymnastics Federation has positioned Doha as a premier destination for international gymnastics teams, thanks to its world-class training facilities and its annual hosting of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, according to Federation President Ali Al Hitmi.

According to Qatar News Agency, Speaking today Al Hitmi revealed that Doha will welcome several international and regional teams in the coming weeks for pre-World Cup training camps. Among the expected delegations are teams from Luxembourg, Jordan, Armenia, and Algeria, while talks are ongoing to potentially host the Brazilian national team as well.

As part of its ongoing development efforts, the Federation has also launched a collaborative training program between the Qatari women's team and the Indonesian women's team, designed to foster skill-sharing and competitive exposure ahead of major tournaments.

Al Hitmi noted that the Indonesian team is already training in Doha in preparation for the upcoming Pharaohs Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Cairo later this month, followed by the World Championships set to take place in Jakarta this October.
