Doha: Doha is hosting a joint training camp for the national teams of Qatar, Brazil, and Luxembourg in preparation for the 2025 Junior Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, scheduled to take place from November 20 to 24 in Pasay City, Philippines.
According to Qatar News Agency, the camp is organized by the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and will continue until November 16. It is being held amidst excellent facilities designed to ensure the best possible training environment for the participating teams.
This camp builds upon Qatar's ongoing success in hosting international gymnastics training camps. Last month, the Qatar Gymnastics Federation hosted a large-scale international artistic gymnastics camp with teams from Armenia, Indonesia, Syria, Jordan, and Brazil. This demonstrates the significant international confidence in Doha's organizational capabilities and its Olympic-standard sports infrastructure.
President of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and First Vice President of the International Gymnastics Federation, Ali Al Hitmi, affirmed that these training camps represent a crucial preparatory stage for national teams. He emphasized the Qatari Federation's commitment to providing everything necessary to ensure the success of the experience in technical, administrative, and logistical aspects.
Al Hitmi stated that through these camps, they aim to strengthen international cooperation and the exchange of technical expertise among national teams, contributing to raising the level of the sport both locally and globally. He highlighted that Doha has become a model of excellence in organization and meticulous planning, thanks to its world-class sports facilities.
He noted that these efforts are part of the Qatar Olympic Committee's 2030 vision, which prioritizes developing Qatari talent and supporting national teams with international expertise, in addition to actively contributing to Qatar's position as a global capital of sport.
