Doha: Doha is set to host the second stage of the Purebred Arabian Horse Tour, part of the Europe and Middle East series, from February 4 to 7 at the Katara Cultural Village Foundation.

According to Qatar News Agency, this follows the success of the opening round held in Abu Dhabi, which set the tone for a season marked by strong competition and outstanding public attendance, reaffirming the tour's prestigious status as one of the region's leading purebred Arabian horse championships.

Doha's hosting of this round reflects its standing as a global destination that brings together authenticity and the rich heritage of Arabian horses. The competitions will take place in a unique setting that celebrates the beauty, strength, and lineage of purebred Arabian horses.

The total prize money for the Doha round amounts to USD 2.05 million, making it one of the most prominent stages of the season in terms of financial value and technical caliber, and further intensifying competition among elite participants.

The Doha round represents the second stop on this year's tour calendar, which includes 13 stages hosted across several major international cities. The tour features participation from some of the world's finest purebred Arabian horses, competing for tour titles at one of the most highly anticipated events of the season.

President of the Qatar Equestrian Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the Purebred Arabian Horse Tour, Badr bin Mohammed Al Darwish, affirmed that the return to Doha holds special significance, as it represents the original starting point of the tour's journey.

He added that Doha stands at the heart of the tour's development and serves as a pivotal station in its evolution, owing to the strong organizational and public support it provides, reflecting the deep-rooted passion for equestrian sport and purebred Arabian horses.
