Doha: The Deanship of Student Affairs at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) organized the ninth edition of its Career Fair on Wednesday, featuring participation from around 30 entities from both public and private sectors. These sectors included education, health, finance and business, journalism and media, as well as various service sectors essential to the country's employment landscape.

According to Qatar News Agency, the fair was inaugurated by the President of DI, Dr. Abdelwahab El-Affendi. The event aimed to provide a platform for DI students and graduates to explore job opportunities within the Qatari labor market. It also allowed attendees to learn about vacancies offered by the participating organizations and explore training and qualification opportunities that align with their career goals.

Aliaa Chbaroo, Career Advising and Student Skills Development Specialist at DI, highlighted that the Career Fair is a key event organized annually by the Career Advising Services under the Deanship of Student Affairs. She emphasized that the fair is an institutional milestone that reflects the Institute's commitment to preparing students for a confident transition into the labor market.

Chbaroo also noted that the fair facilitates direct communication between students and leading Qatari institutions. This interaction provides students with reliable information about job nature, career paths, and employment requirements, helping guide their career decisions on grounded and realistic bases.

Furthermore, the event included a series of introductory and specialized training workshops. These workshops were delivered by specialists and representatives from the participating entities, aimed at enhancing students' preparedness for entering the labor market.
