Doha: HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi affirmed that the Doha Political Declaration, adopted Tuesday during the Second World Summit on Social Development, constitutes a pivotal framework for translating social priorities into joint international action. She emphasized Qatar's readiness to continue cooperating with all partners to build more inclusive, just, and sustainable societies that are better equipped to face future challenges.
According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency highlighted that Qatar views poverty reduction, enhancing decent work opportunities, and social inclusion as interconnected pillars requiring coordinated and comprehensive efforts. She noted that the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030), aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, aims to balance sustainable economic growth, human development, and social cohesion, ensuring that all members of society benefit from the progress achieved.
This statement was delivered during her keynote at the high-level roundtable held as part of the Second World Summit on Social Development, convened at the invitation of HE President of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly Annalena Baerbock, under the theme "Strengthening the Three Pillars of Social Development: Poverty Eradication, Full and Productive Employment and Decent Work for All, and Social Inclusion".
HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jaber Al Nuaimi added that Qatar's approach is based on integrated cooperation among various sectors, government institutions, civil society, and the private sector, within a comprehensive framework that ensures everyone participates in achieving development goals. She also pointed out that the Ministry of Social Development and Family Affairs' Strategy (2025-2030), under the slogan "From Care to Empowerment," focuses on modernizing social protection systems, strengthening family stability, empowering women, and supporting the participation of all segments of society in economic and social development, particularly the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities.
