Dozens of Settlers Storm Al Aqsa Mosque Courtyards

Jerusalem: Dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al Aqsa Mosque on Sunday and performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces. The settlers entered the mosque through the Mughrabi Gate, where they conducted provocative tours and Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.

According to Qatar News Agency, while the occupation forces facilitate these incursions, they have concurrently escalated efforts to ban a number of Jerusalemites from entering the Al Aqsa Mosque. This strategy appears aimed at emptying the mosque of its worshipers and those stationed there.

Al Aqsa Mosque has witnessed an increase in settler incursions and violations during January. The Palestinian Information Center reported that 12,136 extremist settlers stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque in January 2026 alone. Jerusalemites continue to call for urgent action to defend the Al Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic holy sites, urging an end to the daily attacks that threaten to erase the Arab and Islamic identity of the occupied city.
