EAA Foundation and Awqaf Honor Achievements at Qatar Scholarship Program Ceremony

Doha: The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation and the General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs celebrated the academic achievements of recipients of the Qatar Scholarship Program, during a ceremony held on this occasion. The event witnessed the support of over 100 new scholarship recipients, honoring 44 graduates, in addition to celebrating 57 students who excelled academically during the 2024-2025 academic year. The event also highlighted achievements of 14 students from Gaza who received the scholarship in 2024 and achieved outstanding academic performance in the first semester.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony drew over 500 participants, including students, parents, and faculty members, in addition to representatives from educational and governmental institutions and partner organizations. The ceremony was also attended by Director-General of the General Directorate of Endowments Eng. Hassan Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Acting CEO of the EAA Foundation Mohammed Al Kubaisi, and a number of prominent figures, reflecting the level of support and cooperation enjoyed by the program.

In his speech during the ceremony, Eng. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi emphasized the commitment to fostering knowledge and innovation through the Endowment Fund for Scientific and Cultural Development. He highlighted the dedication to education as a cornerstone of societal advancement, inspired by the historical role of endowments in supporting scholars. Talal Al Hothal, Director of the Al Fakhoora Program, expressed his enthusiasm about the ongoing success of the Qatar Scholarship Program. He noted the resilience of scholars in overcoming challenges and their determination to reach educational goals, aligning with Qatar Vision 2030.

The Qatar Scholarship Program in Qatar, launched in 2018 with support from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs - General Administration of Awqaf, is implemented by EAA through its Al Fakhoora program. It supports youth aged 17 to 25 who have spent most of their formative years in Qatar, providing them with needs-based scholarships to attend prominent local universities, including Al Rayan International University College, Doha Institute, Global Studies Institute, Hamad bin Khalifa University, Lusail University, Oryx Universal College, Qatar Finance and Business Academy, Qatar Foundation Universities, Qatar University, University of Calgary in Qatar, and University of Doha for Science and Technology.
