Egypt Condemns Israel’s Decision to Cut Electricity to Gaza Strip

Doha: Egypt condemned on Tuesday Israel's decision to cut electricity to the Gaza Strip, describing it as a new violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement reaffirming Egypt's full rejection of Israel's policies of collective punishment. This includes the suspension of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which, according to the statement, only worsens the situation in the region.

The statement further urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and take the necessary steps to stop these violations, emphasizing the need for immediate action to address the humanitarian impact on the people of Gaza.
