Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, to discuss developments in the Middle East. In a statement, the Egyptian Presidency reported that the call discussed the ongoing escalation in the Middle East, enhancing the path of de-escalation, in addition to the ongoing ceasefire efforts in Gaza and Lebanon and urgently rushing humanitarian aid into the region. Both sides stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon, emphasizing that they stand in support of the Lebanese State institutions.
