Doha: Egypt's Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Meguid Saqr met with Jordan's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Hunaiti, and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to Egypt. Their discussions focused on enhancing military cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and their implications for security and stability in the Middle East in light of the current circumstances and challenges.

In a separate meeting, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa also discussed with Major General Al Hunaiti several matters of mutual interest and explored further avenues for strengthening military relations between the Egyptian and Jordanian armed forces.
