Egypt Strongly Condemns Israeli Repeated Breaches of Gaza Ceasefire

Doha: Egypt has condemned, in the strongest terms, the recurrent Israeli breaches of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which led to 25 Palestinian fatalities.

According to Qatar News Agency, it considered this move a harbinger of a tinderbox and undermines the ongoing efforts to uphold de-escalation and restore stability, at a time when all regional and global parties are combining their efforts to have a successful second phase of US President Donald Trump's plan and enforcement of Security Council Resolution 2803.

These repeated violations represent a direct threat to the political pathway, gnawing at the efforts marshalled to have an appropriate climate in place for shifting to a more stable phase in the Gaza enclave, both at the security and humanitarian levels, a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed on Saturday.

The ministry appealed to all parties to fully adhere to their responsibilities at this critical phase and pursue maximum restraint to safeguard and sustain the ceasefire, refrain from any measures that would derail the existing pathway, and create conducive environments to move forward toward the initiation of early recovery and reconstruction.
