New york: Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, discussed on Thursday with his British counterpart, Yvette Cooper, the latest developments in the Middle East. The two ministers exchanged during their meeting in New York points of view regarding several regional topics, foremost Iran.

According to Qatar News Agency, Abdelatty stressed during the meeting the importance of de-escalating tensions in the region, affirming Egypt's complete support for all endeavors aimed at encouraging dialogue and solving all issues through diplomatic and political paths, all to strengthen regional security and achieve stability and development for all people in the region.

The meeting also touched on updates in the Gaza Strip. The Egyptian Minister affirmed the importance of implementing the second phase of the US President's plan and the acceleration of spreading the International Stabilization Force (ISF) to oversee the ceasefire, as well as the continuation of providing the Strip with aid and relief and preparing the early recovery phase and reconstruction.

Regarding the Sudanese file, Abdelatty stressed the importance of reaching a humanitarian truce in preparation for a complete ceasefire and the launch of a complete political operation, affirming the importance of establishing secure humanitarian paths and ensuring the reach of humanitarian aid to the Sudanese people without any obstacles.
