Doha: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly discussed in his meeting Sunday with Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Mustafa the developments in the Gaza Strip and ongoing efforts to maintain the ceasefire and rebuild the territory. Madbouly emphasized the need to maintain the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to halt the bloodshed of the Palestinian people and begin the process of early recovery and reconstruction in the Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, Madbouly indicated that the Gaza reconstruction plan, prepared by Egypt and adopted by the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo on March 4, will see increased coordination with various Palestinian, regional, and international parties to reach an agreement on various implementation aspects.
For his part, the Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of adhering to the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to achieve progress in the early recovery and reconstruction process in the Strip.
The two sides agreed to continue consultations and coordination over the coming period to support efforts aimed at implementing the reconstruction plan and maintaining the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
