Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed regional developments in separate phone calls with his Omani and Iranian counterparts, Badr Al Busaidi and Abbas Araghchi.
According to Qatar News Agency, a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that the discussions centered around the fourth round of indirect negotiations between the United States and Iran concerning the Iranian nuclear file. Minister Abdelatty was updated on the latest progress in the talks, which were hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.
During the calls, Abdelatty acknowledged the ongoing commitment of both the American and Iranian sides to the diplomatic path, as well as Oman's mediation efforts. He reiterated Egypt's full support for initiatives aimed at achieving peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomatic channels.
He also conveyed hope that the negotiations would help in reducing differences, ease tensions, and promote greater security and stability throughout the region.
