Vienna: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized the significance of preventing any actions that might heighten tensions or broaden the scope of conflict in the Middle East region.
According to Qatar News Agency, Abdelatty, during his meeting with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, addressed the recent escalations in the region. He outlined Egypt's ongoing efforts and diplomatic engagements aimed at de-escalating tensions and managing the crisis. Abdelatty stressed the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions as the sole means to effectively tackle the crises.
He further highlighted the critical need to avoid actions that could exacerbate tensions, considering the potentially severe consequences for the region's security and stability. Abdelatty pointed out the adverse effects such escalations could have on international trade, global supply chains, and energy markets.
In response, Grossi reaffirmed the importance of promoting diplomatic solutions to resolve the region's crises.
