Egyptian President and Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister Discuss Gaza Developments

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met today with HE First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, who is currently visiting Cairo. The discussions focused on current regional developments, the situation in Gaza, the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the sector.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, President El Sisi emphasized the importance of intensifying joint efforts to ensure adequate delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza and securing full implementation of the ceasefire agreement. He highlighted the need to restore regional stability and establish a political path that leads to realization of the two-state solution, in accordance with international legitimacy.

The Egyptian president also reiterated his country's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Kuwait in all areas, particularly in economic, investment, security, and defense sectors.

For his part, Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior expressed his country's appreciation for Egypt's efforts, in partnership with Qatar and United States, to reach the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. He reaffirmed Kuwait's support for Egypt's ongoing efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
