Doha: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and HH Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirmed in a phone call Wednesday their full solidarity with the State of Qatar following the blatant Israeli aggression on Tuesday. They also expressed their support for Qatar's efforts to maintain its security and stability, particularly in light of its joint mediation efforts with Egypt to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and end the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the Israeli war on the Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian presidency stated that during the call, views were exchanged regarding regional developments, foremost among them the blatant Israeli attack on the State of Qatar. The two leaders expressed their full condemnation of this aggression, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and an unacceptable infringement on the sovereignty of a fellow Arab state.
The discussion between the two leaders also focused on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for an immediate ceasefire and the entry of sufficient humanitarian aid into the Strip. They condemned the Israeli military escalation, stressing their categorical rejection of attempts to displace Palestinians or transform the Strip into an uninhabitable area.
The Egyptian President and the Amir of Kuwait called on the international community to take urgent action to halt Israeli violations, de-escalate tensions in the region, and launch a serious political process leading to the implementation of the two-state solution. They advocated for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as this is viewed as the only path to achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace.
