Doha: Egyptian player Tarek Momen was crowned champion of the 3rd edition of the Qatar International Men's Squash Championship, which was hosted by the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel, and Badminton Federation on its courts with the participation of 24 international players. Momen achieved victory in the final match over his Malaysian counterpart, Eain Yow Ng, by three games to one game, 11-6, 11-4, 5-11, and 11-5. The title is the Egyptian player's tenth on the PSA World Tour and the first since the Windsor Cup last August. Momen qualified for the final after narrowly defeating Qatari national team player Abdullah Al Tamimi in the semi-finals in three games 22-10, 11-6, and 12-10. Tareq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel, and Badminton Federation, congratulated the player Tarek Momen, praising his performance during the final match alongside his Malaysian competitor. In a press statement, Zainal said that the tournament witnessed very strong and competitive performances, with the p articipation of a group of the most prominent international players, who were keen to be present in the Doha tournaments.
