Amman, An Egyptian trade union delegation visited the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU) to meet with Khaled Al Fanatseh, the President of General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions, with the goal of gaining insight into the Federation's trade union operations and enhancing relations between the two sides. As per a statement from the GFJTU on Wednesday, the delegation comprised Emad Hamdi, the secretary general of the Arab Federation for Petroleum, Mining and Chemical Workers, and Khaled El Feky, the Vice President of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, President of the General trade union workers in engineering metal electricity. Al Fanatseh discussed with the delegation the key features of the Federation's current stage in trade union work and its strategies to develop a comprehensive reform plan. This plan aims to bolster trade union frameworks and structures, enhance the labor and trade union movement's role, and amplify its impact on the economic and social spheres, Petra reported. The delegation extended their congratulations to Al Fanatseh on his election as President of the General Federation during the extraordinary session of the General Conference held recently. They expressed their hopes for the success of the GFJTU's development and modernization initiatives and its ongoing efforts to defend the rights of Jordanian workers. Source : Bahrain News Agency
