Cairo: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel Aatty held a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha, during which they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and reviewed the latest developments in the Ukraine crisis.
According to Qatar News Agency, Abdel Aatty stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in economic, trade, investment, and tourism sectors, highlighting Egypt's keenness to host a global hub for grain storage, supply, and trade to support food security and related supply chains.
On the Ukraine crisis, the Egyptian foreign minister reaffirmed Egypt's firm position in support of continued political efforts to reach peaceful settlements through dialogue and diplomatic means, in a manner that safeguards regional and international security and stability.
