Doha: HE President Azali Assoumani of the Union of the Comoros emphasized that the Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar targets not only Qatar but also the broader security of the Arab and Islamic nations. In a speech delivered at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, he condemned the attack as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

According to Qatar News Agency, President Assoumani asserted that the sovereignty of Arab and Islamic countries is a non-negotiable red line. He noted that the events in Doha were an attempt to undermine Qatar's role, alongside Egypt and other partners, in mediating efforts for Palestine. The Comoros reaffirmed its full support for Qatar, emphasizing that the protection of mediators is essential for any peace process to succeed.

President Assoumani reiterated his country's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
