Doha: The Qatar Satellite Company, Es'hailSat, and the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide QAF with satellite communication services, ground infrastructure, and secure, flexible network solutions to support sovereign and operational requirements for government and military entities.
According to Qatar News Agency, this MoU recognizes QAF's role in protecting national security, supporting defense capabilities, and ensuring operational readiness under all circumstances. It highlights the importance of satellite communications in supporting command and control, field connectivity, and operational continuity, especially in challenging environments and emergencies.
The agreement aims to strengthen frameworks for joint cooperation and exchange of technical and technological expertise, serving the national and strategic interests of both QAF and Es'hailSat. With over 15 years of experience, Es'hailSat provides reliable connectivity services from Doha, Qatar, through its satellites and Tier-4 certified teleport facility.
QAF plays a vital role in maintaining secure communications, ensuring mission continuity, and supporting defense operations. Their focus includes advancing field operations support and crisis management communications.
Es'hailSat President and CEO Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari expressed delight in entering this partnership, emphasizing the collaboration as a complement to the Qatar Armed Forces' role in protecting national security and ensuring operational readiness. Al Kuwari noted the importance of sovereign ground station infrastructure and field operations support for QAF, contributing to future development and capacity building.
This agreement highlights Es'hailSat's commitment to investing in modern technologies and enhancing Qatar's long-term resilience in secure communications.
