Brussels: The European Union (EU), Sunday, called for calm and restraint by all actors in Venezuela, to avoid escalation and to ensure a peaceful solution to the crisis. According to Qatar News Agency, a joint statement made by the union's member states together with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas emphasized the importance of respecting the will of the Venezuelan people. The statement highlighted that this respect is essential for Venezuela to restore democracy and resolve the current crisis.
