The European Union (EU) on Monday imposed sanctions on five extremist settlers and three organizations affiliated with the Israeli entity due to "serious and systematic human rights violations" against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem and preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza. EU sanctions, under the EU's global human rights sanctions regime, include asset freezes and travel bans to EU countries. These sanctions are the second imposed by the European Union, targeting Israeli settlers who commit violations against Palestinians, bringing the total number of those included to 14.
