The EU expressed deep concern over the high number of civilian casualties and emphasized the importance of safeguarding humanitarian workers, medical facilities, schools, and UN properties.

According to European Union, the organization has urged Israel to lift its blockade on Gaza to facilitate immediate and unhindered access for humanitarian assistance. The EU insists that humanitarian aid must be allowed to reach those in need across Gaza without delay and expects Israel to adhere to international law, including international humanitarian law. The EU has been in dialogue with Israeli authorities, leading to commitments from Israel to take steps to improve the humanitarian situation in the region.

The EU continues to advocate for a ceasefire in Gaza and the unconditional release of all hostages, with the aim of achieving a permanent cessation of hostilities.
