European shares were largely steady on Tuesday ahead of key inflation data for the region later in the day. The pan-European STOXX 600 (.STOXX), was steady at 522.97 after it logged its worst day in over a week on Monday. Tech stocks (.SX8P), opens new tab rose 0.5 percent, while Energy stocks (.SXEP), opens new tab lost 5 percent. Eurozone Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data for September is due out this afternoon.
