Doha: European stock indices remained nearly unchanged, as investors grappled with weak economic indicators and persistent global trade concerns.
According to Qatar News Agency, the pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed at 548.42 points, showing minimal movement from its previous position. Various national indices displayed mixed results; the German index increased by 0.7 percent, the French by 0.3 percent, and the British index by 0.1 percent, while the Spanish index saw a decline of 0.5 percent.
Sector-wise, the market experienced varied performances. The media sub-index experienced a decline of 1.1 percent, and the basic resources sub-index dropped by 0.8 percent. The healthcare sub-index emerged as the largest decliner. In contrast, the energy sub-index recorded a 1 percent rise, benefiting from a similar increase in oil prices.
