European Stock Indices Close Higher as Investors Evaluate Earnings

London: European stock indices closed higher Tuesday, as investors assessed mixed corporate earnings. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index posted an increase, closing up 1.43 points, or 0.25 percent, at 573.53.

According to Qatar News Agency, the German DAX index experienced a rise of 89.98 points, or 0.37 percent, reaching 24,348.78. Similarly, the British FTSE 100 index saw an uptick of 23.42 points, or 0.25 percent, closing at 9,426.99. The French CAC 40 index also showed gains, climbing 52.79 points, or 0.64 percent, to finish at 8,258.86.

In sector performance, European real estate stocks rose by 1.3 percent. However, mining stocks were on the decline, influenced by falling prices of gold, silver, and copper. Meanwhile, defense stocks continued their upward trajectory, with the Stoxx Europe Aerospace and Defense index rising by 1 percent.
