European Stock Markets Experience Downturn Amid Global Sell-Off

Doha: European stock markets opened lower today: weighed down by negative performance on Wall Street and continued declines in Asian markets due to a fresh wave of selling in semiconductor stocks.

According to Qatar News Agency, among the major markets, France's CAC 40 index in Paris fell 0.60 percent, while Germany's DAX index in Frankfurt dropped 0.62 percent. The UK's FTSE 100 index in London slipped 0.04 percent, and Italy's Milano Borsa Index declined 0.92 percent.

This downturn in European markets reflects a broader global trend, where investor sentiment is being influenced by ongoing issues in the semiconductor sector. The ripple effect of these declines has been felt across various indices, contributing to the overall bearish outlook in the financial markets.
