FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025: Oman Defeats Comoros, But Both Exit Competition

Doha: The Omani national team secured a 2-1 victory over the Comoros national team on Monday at Stadium 974. The game was the third and final fixture in Group B of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 tournament.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two goals for Oman were scored by Essam Al Subhi in the 30th and 43rd minutes, while the Comoros goal was scored by Nassuir Hamidou in the 68th minute. Despite the win, the Omani team exited the tournament, along with Comoros. Oman finished third in Group B with four points, and Comoros remained in fourth place with no points.

The two qualification spots were claimed by Morocco and Saudi Arabia, who finished first and second in the group, respectively. In a match played concurrently, Morocco defeated Saudi Arabia by one goal to nil. Morocco consequently topped the group with seven points and will face Syria, the runner-up of Group A, in the next round. Saudi Arabia finished second with six points and will play Palestine, the winner of Group A, in the next round.
