Doha: Saudi Arabia opened its Group B campaign at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 with a 2-1 victory over Oman on Tuesday at Education City Stadium. Firas Al Buraikan scored in the 55th minute and Saleh Al Shehri added another in the 77th, while Ghanem Al Rashidi netted Oman's lone goal in the 70th.
According to Qatar News Agency, the second half unfolded at a fast pace, with Saudi Arabia pressing forward in attack. Salem Al Dawsari played a key role in creating both goals, while Oman focused on closing the midfield and counterattacks. Despite their efforts, Oman struggled against Saudi Arabia's organized defense and managed only one goal.
Saudi Arabia secured three points from the win, leaving Oman without a tally in the standings.
