Al khor: The Saudi national team became the first to qualify for the quarter-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 after defeating Comoros 3-1 today at Al Bayt Stadium in the second round of Group B matches. According to Qatar News Agency, Saudi Arabia's goals were scored by Mohammed Kanno, who netted twice, and Salem Al Dawsari, with goals in the 45+4, 51st, and 76th minutes. Comoros' lone goal was scored by Ibrahim Djoudja in the 63rd minute. Saudi Arabia now leads Group B with six points, ensuring their position as the first team to advance to the quarter-finals. In contrast, Comoros remains at the bottom of the group, having failed to secure any points, and is the first team to be eliminated from the tournament. With this victory, Saudi Arabia guaranteed their spot in the quarter-finals. The Comoros national team's elimination is confirmed regardless of the outcome of their upcoming match with the Sultanate of Oman in the third round. Additionally, the third round will feature another match between Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
