Doha: Romanian coach Cosmin Olaroiu expressed hope that the UAE team will continue its journey in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 as they prepare to face Kuwait on Tuesday in the final group-stage clash of Group C.

According to Qatar News Agency, at the pre-match press conference, Olaroiu said the team played well in the previous two games but didn't secure a win for a variety of reasons. He added that the squad will aim to show its strength tomorrow despite the absence of several players.

The team has put in great efforts in every match. Luck didn't favor them in achieving the desired results, and a number of adverse factors weighed against them, but they are striving to find the right solutions to regain balance, he concluded.

For his part, Emirati goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani affirmed that Kuwait is a strong opponent, yet stated that his team is gunning for the full three points. He expressed hope for strong backing from Emirati spectators, asking them to stand behind the squad for the upcoming showdown.

Portuguese coach Helio Sousa of Kuwait said his side is facing a new and different challenge compared with their previous matches, stressing that the match against the UAE will be a decisive encounter for both teams if they are to progress beyond the group stage.

The UAE are a solid national team with experienced, capable players, and Kuwait is ready for the clash. During the build-up, the team has focused on correcting certain errors, and we will make some changes to arrive at the strongest possible lineup, Sousa remarked.

He went on to affirm that the team is working to change its style of play to make a difference on the pitch.

To be realistic, we have faced tough opponents in this tournament and showed strength at times, but we will keep working to improve our performance, he added.

Kuwaiti player Fahad Al Hajri said the match will be challenging, as both teams aim for qualification. He expressed his hope to see a strong showing, aiming for a result that satisfies Kuwaiti supporters.

The chances remain alive, he said, adding that the goal is to deliver a performance that appeals to fans.
