Sharm Al-Sheikh, The Ministry of Finance and National Economy Undersecretary for Financial Affairs, Yousef Abdullah Humood, chaired Bahrain’s delegation to the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group 2022, which are being held in Sharm Al-Sheikh, Egypt, from June 1 to 4.
The meetings, held under the theme “”Post-Recovery: Resilience and Sustainability”, were attended by the governors of the member states in the Islamic Development Bank to discuss the main challenges towards the economic and developmental recovery in the post-COVID-19 phase.
Discussions focused on many issues like building the capability of resilience of the member states to reduce the impact of the pandemic and the economic challenges emanating from the conflict in Eastern Europe. The meetings also cast light on ways of helping the member states to create sustainable and environment-friendly infrastructures in concordance with the bank’s strategy 2023-2025, which aims to achieve economic recovery after the coronavirus pandemic, fight poverty, build the capability of resilience and stimulate the green economic growth in the member states.
