FIVB Praises Qatar’s Successful Organization of U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships

Doha: The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has praised Qatar's successful organization of the U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships (Doha 2025). Qatar hosted the tournament for the first time in the Middle East from October 7 to 11 at the Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball courts.

According to Qatar News Agency, the FIVB presented a certificate of appreciation to the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) in recognition of its outstanding efforts in organizing the U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships that highlighted Qatar's impressive image, high organizational capabilities, and ongoing readiness to host major international sporting events.

Presented by FIVB President Fabio Azevedo, the certificate commended Qatar's vision and efforts in creating a unique atmosphere that brought together athletes and fans from around the world. It emphasized that the professional organization and exceptional Qatari hospitality contributed to solidifying the sport's position and promoting its values internationally.

The FIVB described Doha's hosting of the U18 Beach Volleyball World Championship as a model of organization and innovation, emphasizing that the tournament contributed to spreading the culture of the sport and connecting people through sports.

For his part, President of the QVA Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari expressed his pride in this recognition, noting that this success was a result of the great support that Qatari sports receive from the wise leadership and the Qatar Olympic Committee, headed by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Al Kuwari praised the close cooperation with the FIVB, affirming that this recognition is a new addition that enhances Qatar's impressive record in hosting and organizing major international tournaments and solidifies its position as a leading destination in the sports field.
