Five Killed, Fifteen Injured in Occupation Airstrikes Southern Gaza

Gaza, Five Palestinians were killed and 15 others were injured today in Israeli airstrikes targeting a motorcycle and a vehicle in the Al Amal neighborhood to the west of Khan Yunis, in the southern of Gaza Strip.

Medical sources stressed that the occupation retargeted the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza, the only hospital for patients with cancer in the Gaza Strip, for the second time, causing severe damage to the hospital, disrupted some of its electromechanical systems, and put the lives of patients and crews at risk.

Hospitals in the Gaza Strip are exposed to daily threats from the occupation to evacuate them, in addition to the deliberate bombing of hospitals or their surroundings, which house thousands of citizens. A massacre was committed in the bombing of Al Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Al Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City on Oct. 17, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of Palestinians.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of martyrs among medical personnel rose to 116, in addition to the destruction of 25 ambulances and the targeting of 57 health institutions in the continuous Israeli bombing.

15 out of 35 hospitals have stopped working and are out of service in the Gaza Strip, mainly as a result of the Israeli bombing, or basically running out of fuel.
