At least five Palestinians were martyred and others were injured on Friday in Israeli shelling of Khan Yunis and Rafah cities in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian health sources said that two people were martyred and others were injured in Khan Yunis city after the occupation forces shelled the Qizan Abu Rashwan area south of the city. At least one person was martyred and several others were injured when a house belonging to a Palestinian family was shelled in the Al Hawouz area in a camp in the city. In Rafah city, two young Palestinians were martyred in shelling that targeted the city and were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex, while the occupation blew up houses near Al Awda Mosque in the centre of the city. The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 40,265 and the number of injuries to 93,144 since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Strip last October, while a number of victims were still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews could not reach them.
