Tehran, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which took place at the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Tehran today. Present at the ceremony were the Speaker of Iran's Majlis (Parliament), the head of the judiciary, members of the Majlis, senior officials of the Iranian government, several heads of state and government, foreign ministers, envoys and ambassadors of countries accredited to Tehran. The Foreign Affairs Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to HE President Pezeshkian, and their wishes for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people further progress and prosperity. He expressed Bahrain's interest in the development of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Iran, leadi ng to the restoration of normal relations and progress in further enhancing cooperation to serve common interests. Dr. Al Zayani wished Iran and its people further stability and prosperity. The Foreign Minister was accompanied by Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, the Bahraini Ambassador to Oman.
