Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdullahian the latest regional and international developments.
On the sidelines of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, the two sides reviewed Thursday the most important issues on the agenda of the Baku meeting.
In this context, both Foreign Ministers condemned the repeated crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, the latest of which was its assault on Jenin and its camp.
In addition, talks highlighted enhancing the strategic bilateral ties in various fields, hailing the high-level coordination and cooperation between the two countries at international forums.
They also noted the importance of maintaining coordination against Western policies that target Syria, Iran and other countries, which reject such policies.
It should be noted that the ministers of many countries have made an official visit to Baku to participate in the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) hosted by Azerbaijan.
The event, which started Wednesday, was scheduled to be held for two days on July 5 and 6 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
