Manama: Ambassador Dr. Yousif Abdulkareem Bucheeri, the Director General for Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a consultative meeting with representatives of civil society organisations to discuss the mid-term report on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism. The meeting highlighted Bahrain's progress in implementing the recommendations from the Universal Periodic Review, This represents the Kingdom's commitment to safeguarding and promoting human rights, in line with the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
