Northern iraq: Four ISIS militants were killed Friday in an airstrike west of Nineveh province in northern Iraq.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Iraqi Joint Operations Command stated in a press release that it targeted ISIS elements in the desert west of Nineveh with an airstrike, resulting in their deaths and the destruction of logistical supplies, equipment, ammunition, and other materials in their possession.
In a related development, security forces announced the thwarting of an armed attack targeting a security conference south of Baghdad.
It is worth noting that Iraqi forces continue to pursue remnants of ISIS in various provinces across the country, especially as its members carry out attacks against civilian, security, and military targets from time to time.
