Fourth Egypt Defence Expo EDEX 2025 Kicks Off in Cairo

Cairo: The fourth Egypt Defence Expo 2025 (EDEX 2025) kicked off in Cairo on Monday. The four-day Expo, inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, welcomed leading exhibitors and global firms specializing in armaments, defense, and security on both regional and international stages.

According to Qatar News Agency, Egyptian Minister of Defense and Military Production and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Abdel Majeed Saqr, stated that this year's event comes amid the rapid evolution the world is experiencing, with interlocking conflicts, prompting enduring alertness to confront risks and threats, a duty that admits no complacency.

He added that the Expo has become a global hub where nations and companies producing weaponry and defense systems from across the world converge to showcase cutting-edge military technologies.

The Expo attracts numerous firms to showcase state-of-the-art defense systems and technologies across land, naval, and air domains, positioning itself as a forum for sharing technological know-how among participants from bodies and systems specializing in armament and defense industries worldwide.
