Fourth Round of U23 3×3 Nations League Tips Off Sunday in Doha

Doha: The fourth round of the U23 Asia-Pacific 3x3 Nations League will take place Sunday at the Qatar Basketball Federation Hall in Al Gharrafa, continuing through June 3.

According to Qatar News Agency, the tournament, organized by the Qatar Basketball Federation, features 12 teams competing in men's and women's categories. The participating teams include six men's and six women's national squads: host Qatar, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Chinese Taipei.

Qatar's U23 men's team is scheduled to play two matches in Group B, first against Chinese Taipei at 3:45 p.m. and later versus Singapore at 7:15 p.m. The event is part of Qatar's promotional activities ahead of hosting the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The Qatar Basketball Federation aims to boost the sport's global presence locally by organizing high-profile events in collaboration with and under the supervision of FIBA.

This edition serves as a qualifier for the U23 3x3 Basketball World Cup, with the top-scoring men's and women's teams earning spots at the tournament in Xi'an, China, scheduled for Sept. 17-21.
