Berlin: The French national football team secured 3rd place in the UEFA Nations League 2025, after having defeated the host nation, Germany, with a score of 2-0, on Sunday. According to Qatar News Agency, Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for France in the 45th minute, while his teammate Michael Olise added the second goal in the 84th minute. France and Germany competed against one another in the 3rd-place playoff after both teams lost their semifinal matches, where France lost to Spain in a high-scoring match (5-4), while Germany lost to Portugal 2-1. The UEFA Nations League 2025's finale will take place later today, with defending champions, Spain, facing off against Portugal, the winners of the inaugural 2019 edition.
