Gaza: 3 Deaths Due to Famine and Malnutrition in Past 24 Hours

Gaza: Medical sources in the Gaza Strip recorded three deaths, including a child, due to famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This alarming development adds to the growing humanitarian crisis in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the total number of deaths from famine and malnutrition now stands at 428, with 146 of those being children. The dire situation is further exacerbated as reports indicate that cases of malnutrition and starvation are continuously arriving at hospitals across Gaza.

An estimated 900,000 children in Gaza are currently suffering from hunger, with 70,000 of them having progressed to the stage of malnutrition. This crisis has been compounded by ongoing challenges, including the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) had previously issued warnings that malnutrition among children under the age of five had doubled between March and June. The situation remains critical, with urgent calls for intervention to prevent further loss of life.
