Gaza Death Toll from Ongoing Israeli Carnage Rises to 54,607

Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli carnage against the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 54,607, with the number of injured reaching 125,341.

According to Qatar News Agency, a statement issued by the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip indicated that hospitals in the enclave received 97 martyrs over the past 24 hours, including two bodies recovered from under the rubble, along with 440 wounded individuals.

The statement added that several victims remain trapped beneath the debris and along roadways, unreachable by emergency and civil defense rescuers.

Since the resumption of the war on the enclave on Mar. 18, 4,335 people have been killed and 13,300 others wounded, the statement read.

The Gaza Strip is reeling from a cataclysmic humanitarian situation due to the blockade on the flow of life-saving humanitarian aid to the population, as well as medicines and medical equipment to hospitals, with over two million individuals languishing in camps and shelters, grappling with extremely harsh living conditions.
