Gaza Media Office Chief Reports 1,300 Israeli Ceasefire Breaches in 100 Days

Gaza: Israel had breached the ceasefire accord 1,300 times since it was brokered in October 2025. Consequently, these violations led to 483 fatalities and 1,287 injuries, mostly women, children, and the elderly, Director of the Government Media Office in Gaza Ismail Al Thawabta told Qatar News Agency (QNA).

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Thawabta added that after 100 days of the deal being in effect, the authoritative government agencies observed an unequivocal Israeli breach of international humanitarian law, as well as an intentional erosion of the essence of the ceasefire and the provisions of the attached humanitarian protocol.

The Israeli violations of the ceasefire deal had resulted in 430 incidents of gunfire, 66 incursions of military vehicles into residential neighborhoods, 604 shelling and targeting operations in various locations, as well as 200 razings of homes and buildings in Palestinian neighborhoods and cities in Gaza, Al Thawabta cautioned.

He added that the ongoing violations of the agreement have resulted in 483 fatalities, including 252 children, women, and the elderly (52%), while the total number of civilian martyrs reached 444 (92% of all fatalities).

According to statistics cited by him, the breaches caused 1,287 injuries, including 752 children, women, and the elderly (58%).

The occupation soldiers murdered 465 Palestinians away from the yellow line, which includes the areas under Israeli temporary control as per the ceasefire deal. In residential neighborhoods, the percentage reached 96%, while 4% of Palestinians were killed along the green line, he continued.

Al Thawabta further explained that the Israeli occupation detained 50 Palestinians, all of whom were detained away from the green line and from within residential neighborhoods.

Touching on the humanitarian aspect, Al Thawabta added that Israel allowed only 25,816 trucks laden with aid, commercial merchandise, and fuel to enter, out of 60,000 trucks, representing only 43% of the commitment.

The trucks allowed in were divided between aid and commercial merchandise, with only 649 fuel trucks entering out of 5,000 expected, representing a compliance rate of no more than 13%, Al Thawabta noted, stressing that the daily average number of trucks was 261, out of 600 trucks expected daily according to the terms of the ceasefire accord.

The Israeli occupation neither committed to allowing the entry of essential items required for repairing the infrastructure nor the medical essentials and medicines, he warned, stating that Israel did not commit to allowing the entry of tents, caravans, and shelter items either, and did not commit to commissioning the electricity generation plant or opening the Rafah land crossing.

As such, Al Thawabta called on US President Donald Trump and the custodians of the agreement, as well as the international community and the United Nations, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities in compelling Israel to fulfill its entire obligations and ensure civilian protection.

Al Thawabta likewise urged them to secure the prompt delivery of life-saving humanitarian aid and fuel as stipulated in the agreement, in a way that addresses the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza enclave.

He openly held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the unbearable crisis in the humanitarian situation and the perished lives, as well as the property that had been destroyed during a period that should have witnessed a full and lasting ceasefire.

The persistent Israeli breaches constitute a perilous circumvention of the ceasefire agreement, and an attempt to impose a humanitarian equation based on subjugation, starvation, and extortion, Al Thawabta suggested.

Despite 100 days having passed since the ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, the latter continues to violate the deal, even though the US has recently announced the launch of its second phase, which moves from a ceasefire to the formation of a technocratic administration and the process of reconstruction.
